On March 8, DGA members were able to view online the 2022 edition of the Meet the Nominees: Documentary event. Following a welcome from DGA Documentary Committee Chair James Moll, nominees Jessica Kingdon (Ascension), Stanley Nelson (Attica), Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)) and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin (The Rescue) engaged in a lively and entertaining conversation about their work, illustrated by clips from each film and moderated by Documentary Awards Committee Co-Chairs Patrick Creadon & Yance Ford. Nominee Raoul Peck (Exterminate All the Brutes) was unable to participate.
