DGA Safety Hotline
The DGA is here to assist members with questions and concerns related to safety. The Guild’s worldwide Safety Hotline is in operation 24/7.
Individuals can ask safety-related questions or report an issue or accident by calling the hotline at (310) 289-5326.
When you call the hotline, you will be connected to a live representative, who will put you immediately in touch with the Guild representative on-call or give you the opportunity to leave word to be called back at a time that’s convenient for you — your choice.
Safety Pass Training
If you are an Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager, Associate Director, or Stage Manager, you must take Safety Pass Training.
As of July 1, 2017, if you have yet to complete Safety Pass training, the new requirements are as follows:
- Assistant Directors, Unit Production Managers, Associate Directors and Stage Managers working in California shall have 90 days from their initial date of DGA-covered employment to successfully complete the Safety Pass Training Course.
- Assistant Directors, Unit Production Managers, Associate Directors and Stage Managers working outside of California shall have until December 31, 2017 or 90 days from their initial date of DGA-covered employment (whichever is later) to successfully complete the Safety Pass Training Course.
Members who have already completed the Safety Pass Training course are exempt from these new requirements.
Verification of Safety Training status may be done at www.dgaca.org/member-directory by entering one's last name under Search criteria. Safety training status will appear in the search results next to the individual's name.

Safety Bulletins
Safety Bulletins are researched, written, and distributed by the Industry-Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee for use by the motion picture and television industry. The Industry-Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee is composed of guild, union, and management representatives active in industry safety and health programs. These bulletins are posted on the Contract Services Administration Trust Fund website (www.csatf.org) and updated periodically.
