DGA Statement on the Passing of Roger Michell

September 23, 2021

The Directors Guild of America mourns the passing of acclaimed director Roger Michell whose work captured the essence of the human spirit across film, television and stage. Roger was also a founding and cherished member of the Guild’s London Coordinating Committee, always at the forefront of the fight to protect the creative and economic rights of all Directors regardless of where they live or work. We will miss him greatly.
