On February 15, DGA members were able to view online the 2023 edition of the Meet the Nominees: Documentary event. Following a welcome from DGA Documentary Committee Chair James Moll, nominees Sara Dosa (Fire of Love), Matthew Heineman (Retrograde), Laura Poitras (All the Beauty and the Bloodshed); Daniel Roher (Navalny) and Shaunak Sen (All That Breathes) engaged in a lively and entertaining conversation about their work, illustrated by clips from each film and moderated by Documentary Awards Committee Co-Chairs Patrick Creadon & Yance Ford.
About the DGA Documentary Committee
The mission of the Documentary Committee is to provide recommendations regarding creative and economic rights, enforcement of contractual and legal protections for documentary filmmakers. The Committee also coordinates events that support that mission. The Committee is chaired by James Moll. The members are: June Beallor, Joe Berlinger, Alison R.
