On October 25, Bay Area-based DGA members gathered for a celebration of the Northern California film, television and video/digital industry during the San Francisco Coordinating Committee (SFCC)’s 2019 Fall Networking Mixer. Held at the Lake Chalet restaurant in Oakland, the evening was part of the Committee's mission of facilitating the exchange of ideas, maintaining contacts with other guilds and unions, and furthering professional opportunities for all Northern California DGA members.
Following welcoming comments from recently-elected SFCC Chair Ted Leonard, DGA Director of Commercial Contracts Fabiana Ochoa and Jim MacIlvaine from the City of Oakland Film Office, the attendees enjoyed an evening of networking and socializing with their peers and other local industry professionals.The mixer was also attended by recently-elected SFCC Vice Chair Amyn Kaderali and DGA Associate Western Executive Director Lisa Layer, who was on hand to answer questions.
About the Committee:
The SFCC was formed in 1978 to coordinate Guild activities in the Bay Area. The Committee hosts a number of educational presentations and networking events during the year.
