Meet the Nominees: Movies for Television and Mini-Series

69th Annual DGA Awards

On February 1, DGA members enjoyed the 2017 edition of the Meet the Nominees: Movies for Television and Mini-Series symposium in the Guild’s Los Angeles Theater complex. Following an introduction by DGA Associate National Executive Director G. Bryan Unger, clips of each nominated film were shown. Then 2016 DGA Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Mini-Series Award nominees: nominees Raymond De Felitta (Madoff), Jay Roach (All the Way), Alex Rudzinski [Live Television Direction by] (Grease Live! and Hairspray Live!) and Steven Zaillian (The Night Of, “The Beach”) spoke about the making of their films in a conversation moderated by DGA Movies for Television Committee member Mike Robe.

The symposium was followed by a reception where the nominees mingled with DGA members and guests. Nominees Thomas Kail [Directed by] (Grease Live!) and Kenny Leon [Directed by] (Hairspray Live!) were unable to attend.
