On July 26, the Latino Committee (LC) meeting featured the discussion, Directors Who Act. In a conversation moderated by LC Co-Chair Jay Torres, Directors Jon Huertas (This Is Us) and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami) discussed the challenges of working in front of the camera while also taking charge behind the camera.
Huertas is known for his roles in series such as This Is Us, Castle and the limited series Generation Kill. In addition to his directorial work on This Is Us, he has directed episodes of The Rookie, The Rookie: Feds and The Company You Keep. Huertas became a DGA Member in 2021.
Rodriguez is known for his roles in series such as CSI: Miami, Roswell and Stephen Soderbergh’s feature Magic Mike. In addition to his directorial work on CSI: Miami, he has also directed episodes of Criminal Minds and Scorpion. Rodriguez has been a DGA Member since 2010.
