Jay is a producer director with a wide range of storytelling experiences in both long form and short form original content, specializing in VFX, action & kids. He’s worked with A List talent including Dwayne Johnson, Eva Longoria, Christopher Walken & Jennifer Garner, top ad agencies & brands including Walmart, Vudu, Tubi, Reebok, Footlocker, Skechers, DirecTV, as well as all major studios and networks.
Jay began his career as a music video editor, cutting award winning videos for Aerosmith, Metallica, and Salt-N-Pepa. Jay started out his long-form storytelling journey directing 2nd Unit for episodic TV. He went on to receive award nominations for his episodic directing work on “Alias” and “Desperate Housewives”.
In addition to directing episodic television, Jay was instrumental in helping Vudu build their original content program which led to an adaption of the film “Mr. Mom” as a streaming series where he served as EP/Showrunner.
He is also the Co-Founder of iDENTITY, a production company dedicated to telling stories that focus on diversity and inclusion, particularly for the American Latino market.
Jay served in the US Army as a Military Policeman, 2 terms as the Co-Chair of the DGA Latino Committee, and currently serves on the DGA’s Special Projects Committee and the Latino Political Sub-Committee. He continues to direct and develop original content and lives in Los Angeles with his VFX Artist wife and 2 filmmaker daughters.
