Sarah Pirozek is a Director and Writer, who studied in the UK at Central St Martins, and in New York at 'The Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program’, 'The New School', and the 'Actors Studio'. Her first shorts, CONFESSIONS OF A GIRL WHO NEVER RECEIVED A VISITATION FROM THE SACRED HEART, and BEFORE AND AFTER FRENCH KISSING screened at 'The London International Film Festival'.
In the US she worked her way up in multiple roles on film and TV sets, as a PA (with Rob Zombie!), in the Art Department, as a graphics Designer,as an animator and director. She went on to direct music videos, and award-winning international commercial campaigns. She has also directed 30 min and hour-long pieces for the Sundance Channel, MTV, PBS, HBO, NAT GEO, AMC, and Channel Four TV in the UK, she also co-created the series "Crafty" for the Discovery Channel. She has worked with talent as disparate as BILLY CRUDUP, SPEECH, ANNA SUI, QUEEN LATIFAH, SHAQ, DENIS O'HARE and more.
Her films include the feature doc FREE TIBET, featuring BJORK, THE FOO FIGHTERS, TRIBE CALLED QUEST & THE BEASTIE BOYS, and many others. FREE TIBET screened at ‘The Edinburgh International Film Festival’, winning 'Best of Fest’. And as a producer, her work includes the award-winning indie feature FLORA distributed by Regent Entertainment.
She has recently released her directorial debut feature, a noir thriller, #LIKE, starring MARC MENCHACA (OZARK/THE OUTSIDER) which is currently streaming, leading to shadowing invitations on various TV shows.
Pirozek is also developing multiple series, including properties from the Chester Himes Estate, and a feature film.
