55 Films and Series to Premiere in Honor of Creative Talent After Cancellation of Event
The Franco-American Cultural Fund (FACF) has unveiled the complete list of films and series that were selected for the now cancelled 27th Annual American French Film Festival (TAFFF). Though the 2023 TAFFF will not take place as planned, organizers wanted to honor the work of the writers, directors, composers, producers, distributors and talent involved in the 55 chosen projects by announcing the full lineup.
The films and series would have competed for the prestigious TAFFF Awards, which recognize outstanding achievements in Franco-American filmmaking and media. By revealing the selected projects, the FACF and festival organizers pay tribute to the creativity and artistry of those involved, even without the event itself.
“A total of 21 feature films, four documentaries, nine series, four TV movies and 17 short films are part of the selection. Thirty-five of them would have been presented as US, North American, and World Premieres,” shared François Truffart, Executive Producer and Artistic Director of TAFFF. “Like every year, the 2023 program reflects the diversity and quality of French productions, while welcoming both established filmmakers and newcomers. We want to thank all of them for their amazing support. We are dedicated to supporting the promotion of French films and series all year long and look forward to resuming our physical event in 2024.”
