With vaccines now widely available, although restrictions are being lifted, we must remember that the pandemic is still ongoing and COVID-19 can have serious, life-threatening complications.

Gaining agreement from producers to implement the critical testing and safety protocols spearheaded by the DGA and our sister unions was an important first step in keeping members protected on set. But we all must play our part to protect ourselves, our colleagues and our loved ones — and vaccination is the most important tool at our disposal.

If you haven’t already done so, please do your part and get vaccinated. Everyone’s protection depends on it.

Below are some facts from the CDC:

  • Everyone 12 years of age and older is now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
  • All COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States have been shown to be safe and effective at preventing COVID-19.
  • Millions of people in the United States have received COVID-19 vaccines under the most intense safety monitoring in U.S. history and many people have reported only mild side effects after COVID-19 vaccination.
  • The CDC recommends you get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. To find a COVID-19 Vaccine, visit vaccines.gov, or text your ZIP code to 438829, or call 1-800-232-0233 to find locations near you.
