The Craft of the Director: Barry Jenkins

May 27, 2021

With  restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic still in place, the DGA Special Projects Committee has found new ways to provide craft-focused programming for our members. On May 27, DGA members had the opportunity to view the Special Projects Committee’s event, The Craft of the Director: Barry Jenkins.

In an in-depth conversation moderated by DGA President Thomas Schlamme, Jenkins discussed his personal directing process and shared how he approaches various areas of the craft, from pre-production through post.
