With social distancing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic still in place, the DGA Special Projects Committee has found new ways to provide craft-focused programming for our members. On July 22, members from all over were able to log in online to view the Committee’s virtual event, The Craft of the Director: Ava DuVernay.

In an in-depth conversation with the director conducted by Director Alex Stapleton, DuVernay discussed topics including her philosophy on directing child actors, editing and crafting dramatic scenes.
