Dear DGA Members:
A critical flu season is upon us. In past years, the DGA Foundation was a proud partner at the DGA Plans’ Health Fairs on both coasts – offering free flu shots to members not covered by the Plan. This year, the Guild is unable to host Health Fairs due to COVID-19 restrictions. But there are free and convenient flu shot options still available to everyone.
For participants of the DGA Health Plan, flu shots are 100% covered through your choice of numerous network providers and pharmacies. If you have any questions, contact the Plans Participant Service Department toll-free at (877) 866-2200, Ext. 401.
For members who are not covered by the Plan, the Foundation is pleased to announce that we have partnered with CVS to continue free flu shots through a new voucher program – covering up to $50,000 of flu shot vouchers for non-covered members.
If you are a member in the U.S. who is NOT covered by the DGA Health Plan, follow these easy instructions between now and the extended deadline of January 31, 2021 to register for a CVS flu shot voucher.
- Send an email to FoundationVouchers@dga.org:
- The email subject line should say: Flu Shot Voucher Request – [Your Name] [Your Member Number]
- In the body of the email, confirm that you are not a participant in the DGA Health Plan.
- A voucher for one free CVS Pharmacy flu shot will be emailed back to you within 1-2 business days.
- Redeem the voucher at a CVS Pharmacy near you.
Please note: CVS vouchers are for standard flu shots only. One voucher per member, valid in the U.S. only. Vouchers will be provided on a first-come first-served basis up to the amount of the Foundation’s donation. If your email is sent after the allotted number of vouchers have been redeemed, you will receive a notification that vouchers are no longer available. If you are a participant in the DGA Health Plan, flu shots are already 100% covered for you, please do not register for a voucher.
The Foundation also continues to operate its COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund providing grants for members impacted by the production shutdown, and its longstanding confidential, interest-free loan program for members experiencing financial crises and emergencies. And as always, to our members who have generously contributed to our Foundation, thank you for doing your part to keep alive our proud tradition of helping our fellow brothers and sisters in need.
