Latino Committee Co-Chairs Elected

Directors Regina Ainsworth and Edward Ornelas and Second Assistant Director Alicia Zaragoza have been elected co-chairs of the Latino Committee (LC).


Regina AinsworthRegina Ainsworth
A DGA member since 2015, Ainsworth was previously elected Co-Chair of the Latino Committee in 2017. Prior to being elected Co-Chair, she served as a Co-Coordinator for Events for the Committee and also as a Co-Coordinator for Proposals for the DGA Women’s Steering Committee for two terms. A selection of her credits include co-direction of the feature length documentary Red Dog & Bates, spec pilots The Project and Law & Order: the Musical and a horror digital short Perchance to Dream. Her sci-fi short Recombined is being developed to translate The Tankborn Trilogy novels to episodic television.

 

Edward OrnelasEdward Ornelas
A DGA member since 2009, Ornelas also serves as a mentor on the DGA Director Development Initiative’s Television Mentorship Program and is a member of the DGA PAC Leadership Council. His credits include the independent feature film, The Legend of Billy Fail; and episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, NCIS: New Orleans, Code Black, The Resident and Roswell, New Mexico.

 

Alicia ZaragozaAlicia Zaragoza
A DGA member since 2002, Zaragoza’s credits include working as an Assistant Director on features such as Ron Oliver’s Grand-Daddy Day Care, Maria Burton’s For the Love of George, Anne Hamilton’s American Fable and Minhal Baig’s Hala; and television series such as Shameless, Broken and The Trainee.


About the Committee:

The Latino Committee was created as a networking group to advance career and job opportunities for Latino DGA members by improving craft skills, networking, and enhance their job opportunities in both the English and Spanish-speaking media. The Committee meets monthly and schedules several special events throughout the year.
