The DGA is a member of UNI Global Union, which represents over 20 million workers in 900 trade unions worldwide. Within UNI Global Union, the DGA is active in their UNI MEI branch, the Global Union for media, entertainment, arts and sports. UNI MEI is actively engaged in promoting content protection and fair remuneration of film artists before the European Union – and the DGA is a member of UNI MEI’s Working Group in their Global Campaign Against Internet Theft.
