The DGA is a member of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, which works towards increased recognition and protection of authors’ rights. CISAC’s headquarters are in Paris, with regional offices in Budapest, Santiago de Chile, Johannesburg, and Singapore. As of July 2016, CISAC counts 239 authors’ societies as members from 123 countries.
