DGA members and their dependents received free flu shots during the 2022 Health Fairs in Los Angeles and New York. Hosted by the DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans, all members were encouraged to attend these fairs to take advantage of the wealth of information that was being disseminated on top of the chance to bolster their health for the coming flu season. The Directors Guild Foundation covered the cost of flu shots for participants not covered under the Health Plan and provided refreshments.
On October 1, the Health Fair at Guild headquarters in Los Angeles also provided benefits information directly from Pension & Health Plans representatives and their affiliate organizations including: CVS, Delta Dental, VSP, MPTF, and the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly the Actors Fund). The fair also offered information about the Plans’ benefits portal, MyPHP, where they can access their personal benefits information including Health Plan eligibility, medical claims, employer contributions, estimated pension benefit accruals and more. Attending Health and Pension Plans participants were also urged to sign up for paperless delivery of MyPHP documents.
On October 15, members from the Eastern region were able to get their flu shots and find out more about their benefits during the Health Fair in the DGA’s New York Theater lobby. In addition to the information provided by the Pension & Health Plans representatives and their affiliate organizations, members from this region had also been encouraged to take advantage of the Pension and Health Plans private sessions that took place in New York from October 17-18.
As a bonus, both fairs also offered free neck and shoulder massages and raffles where attendees had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes including a $100 Amazon Gift Card, an Apple Watch Series 7 with GPS, and a GoPro Hero10.
