On June 16, the Women’s Steering Committee (WSC) hosted their first online meeting. In addition to Committee business, the meeting featured the discussion, Negotiating Your Worth, with Alexandra Carter, a clinical law professor at Columbia University.
In a conversation moderated by WSC Co-Chair Liz Ryan, Carter discussed redefining what negotiations mean and how to steer relationships, new approaches to negotiating in both smooth and turbulent times, asking the right questions and conquering concerns. She also touched on points about gender and self-advocacy and following the discussion, fielded questions from the online audience.

The Women's Steering Committee (WSC) was created to advance the professional interests of its members, and to heighten their visibility and career opportunities in the entertainment industry. The WSC currently promotes diversity through sponsoring networking events, screenings and seminars, and fosters relationships between the members to provide support, mentoring and networking opportunities.
