A beloved literary classic is reimagined in Director Autumn de Wilde’s comedic-drama, Emma.
Adapted from the novel by Jane Austen, de Wilde’s film tells the story of Emma Woodhouse, a well-meaning but selfish young woman who meddles in the love lives of her friends while venturing through her own romantic missteps to find a match in her sleepy little town in 1800s England.
Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on February 29, de Wilde sat down with Director Mike Mills (20th Century Women) to discuss the making of Emma.
Emma is de Wilde’s feature directorial debut. She has been a DGA member since 2015.
