On September 18, the DGA held its annual Emmy Nominees reception at Guild headquarters in Los Angeles. DGA First Vice President Lesli Linka Glatter welcomed the attendees and congratulated the nominated directors before turning the floor over to Television Academy CEO and Chairman Frank Scherma. Scherma spoke briefly about the work of the Academy then Television Academy Directors Peer Group Governors Mark Cendrowski and Michael Spiller presented the official 71st Annual Emmy Award Nomination Certificates to the attending nominatees.
