Mathew Miguel Cullen discusses London Fields, The Director's Cut

December 1, 2018 A DGA Q&A in Los Angeles

A femme fatale seduces three men into an intrigue that will end with her death in Director Mathew Miguel Cullen’s new thriller, London Fields, The Director’s Cut.

Cullen’s film weaves the tale of Nicola Six (Amber Heard), a spectacularly beautiful woman-of-mystery who ensnares three men, a writer (Billy Bob Thornton), a small-time crook (Jim Sturgess) and an upper-class banker (Theo James), into a tangled love affair: one of whom she knows will ultimately become her murderer.

Following the December 1 Los Angeles DGA membership screening of the film, Cullen sat down with Director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (Never Look Away) to discuss its making.

London Fields, The Director’s Cut is Cullen’s feature directorial debut. His other credits include music videos for Katy Perry, Green Day, The Black Eyed Peas and Adele. Cullen has been a DGA member since 2005.
