The tag line of “who are you when the lights have gone out” is asked and answered in Director A.J. Eaton’s documentary, David Crosby: Remember My Name.

With unflinching candor, Eaton’s film takes viewers through the career highs of the legendary singer-songwriter, as well as the lows of the ravaging addictions that led to serious prison time. As Crosby confronts his mortality and assesses all the damage of his earlier life, the film also explores myths and sheds new light on all the music, politics and personalities that crossed his incredible path. David Crosby: Remember My Name premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Documentary Grand Jury Prize.

Following the DGA Special Projects Documentary Series screening in Los Angeles on June 23, Eaton sat down with DGA Special Projects Documentary Series Subcommittee Co-Chair Ondi Timoner (Mapplethorpe) to discuss the making of David Crosby: Remember My Name.
