A young attorney becomes an unlikely hero after the victims of a dangerous virus wreak havoc upon a corporate law office in Director Joe Lynch’s new action-horror feature, Mayhem.
Lynch’s film tells the story of Derek Cho (Steven Yeun), an attorney who is unjustly fired after being framed by a co-worker. But when a strange virus that makes people act out their worst impulses infects the law office and everyone is trapped in the quarantined building, Derek is forced to fight not only for his job, but for his life.
Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on November 29, Lynch sat down with Director Joe Carnahan (State of Affairs) to discuss the making of Mayhem.
In addition to Mayhem, Lynch’s credits include the feature films Everly and Knights of Badassdom; the “Zom-B-Movie” segment of the anthology feature Chillerama; the mini-series 12 Deadly Days; an episode of the series Saber; and the short films Raya Yarbrough: Silent Night and Venom: Truth in Journalism. Lynch has been a DGA member since 2006.
