Four soldiers returning from duty in Iraq struggle to readjust to civilian life in Director Jason Hall’s new drama, Thank You for Your Service.
Hall’s film tells the story of a quartet of U.S. soldiers who try to cope with both their return to the USA and the lingering memories and wounds sustained in the war that threaten to destroy them long after they've left the battlefield.
Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on November 5, Hall sat down with Director Bradley Cooper (A Star Is Born) to discuss the making of Thank You for Your Service.
Thank You for Your Service is Hall’s feature directorial debut. He also earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay for penning the screenplay to Director Clint Eastwood’s feature American Sniper, which also starred Cooper. He has been a DGA member since 2016.
