Meet the Nominees: Reality Programs

67th Annual DGA Awards
On February 3, the Guild held its annual symposium for the DGA Award Nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Reality Programs. Following introductory comments from DGA National Board Member Don Mischer and Reality Television Committee member Eytan Keller, clips from the nominated works were screened. Then nominees Bertram van Munster, Jack Cannon, and Elise Doganieri (The Quest, “One True Hero”); Neil P. DeGroot (The Biggest Loser, “Episode 1613”); Anthony B. Sacco (The Chair, “The Test”); and Adam Vetri (Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge, “Welcome to the Gun Show”) stepped to the podium to speak briefly about their work.  Nominee Steve Hryniewicz (Top Chef, “The First Thanksgiving”) was unable to attend.
