DGA Award-winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty) continues the tradition of 007 in his new James Bond feature Skyfall. In the film, Bond's (Daniel Craig) loyalty is tested as M’s (Judi Dench) past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. Mendes’ other work includes the films Road to Perdition, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road, and Away We Go. The DGA membership screening in London on November 5 was a joint effort between the Guild and the organization Directors UK. After the screening, Mendes discussed the making of the film with director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum) who served as moderator.
