Film Financing: A Woman’s Edge

Recognizing how filmmakers must be increasingly entrepreneurial in order to get projects made, on May 23 the DGA Women’s Steering Committee hosted the panel discussion Film Financing: A Woman’s Edge following their monthly meeting in the DGA boardroom in Los Angeles.

The panel consisting of Tom Malloy, author of Bankroll: A New Approach to Financing Feature Films; Funding Consultant Stu Pollard, Entertainment Attorneys Marie Steinman and Paul Almond, and Hybrid Entertainment’s President and CEO Ellen Pittleman discussed inventive ways to get a film financed. Director Martha Cotton served as moderator of the conversation.
