Timothy G. Engle graduated from the DGA’s Assistant Director Training Program in 1998 after working on the films George of the Jungle (1997), Playing God (1997), and Almost Heroes (1998) as a trainee. Throughout his career he has worked as a 2nd 2nd AD, 2nd AD and 1st AD on a variety of film and television projects. His feature films include A Civil Action (1998), Man on the Moon (1999), Ready to Rumble (2000), Rat Race (2001), Anger Management (2003), 50 First Dates (2004), The Longest Yard (2005), Dreamgirls (2006), The Comebacks (2007), and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (2008), among others. His television credits include Deadwood, The Sopranos, Weeds, Heroes, Pretty Little Liars, Happy Endings, House of Lies, and Mob City.
An active member of the Guild, Engle has served on the DGA’s National Board since 2011, the Western AD/UPM Council since 2007, and the 2008 and 2011 Negotiating Committees.
