Raymond DeFelitta is a director, producer, writer, and actor. His directorial debut, which he also produced and wrote, was the Oscar-nominated short film Bronx Cheers. He followed with Café Society, which he wrote and directed.
He also wrote and directed Two Family House, recipient of the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2000 and nominated for the Grand Special Prize at the Deauville Film Festival. The Thing about My Folks, won the Audience Choice Award at the Nashville Film Festival (2005) and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance (2006). His documentary, 'Tis Autumn: The Search for Jackie Paris, was the winner of the US/International Award at the Kansas City Filmmaker Jubilee. Most recently DeFelitta wrote, produced and directed City Island, starring Andy Garcia and Julianna Margulies.
Raymond DeFelitta serves as the chairman of the DGA's Special Projects Committee East. He is a member of the DGAs Eastern Independent Directors Committee and has served on the Eastern Directors Council. Raymond has conducted Visual History interviews with directors Peter Bogdanovich and Stanley Donen.
