Meet the Nominees: Movies for TV and Mini-Series

65th Annual DGA Awards

On January 30, DGA members enjoyed the 2013 edition of the Meet the Nominees: Movies for Television and Mini-Series symposium in the Guild’s Los Angeles Theater complex. Following an introduction by DGA President Taylor Hackford, clips of each nominated film were shown. Then moderator Ron Underwood (Deck the Halls) led the 2012 DGA Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Mini-Series Award nominees: Greg Berlanti (Political Animals, “Pilot”), Kevin Reynolds (Hatfields & McCoys), Jay Roach (Game Change) and Michael Rymer (American Horror Story: Asylum, “Dark Cousin”) in a brief discussion about the making of their films.

The symposium was followed by a reception where DGA members and guests could mingle with the nominees. Nominee Philip Kaufman (Hemingway & Gellhorn) was unable to attend.
